Slumber Party Massacre, The (1982) IMDB rating: 4.90 Plot: An eighteen-year-old high school girl is left at home by her parents and she decides to have a slumber party. There is friction between some of the invited guests and the new girl, who is better at basketball than they, so the new girl decides to stay at home (which is conveniently across the street from the host’s house). I would stay away from Slumber Party Massacre and Prom Night both are scary movies which is never good at a sleepover(unless your into to that)some other movies my friends and i like to watch are step up, stick it,the notebook,a walk to remember and gracie here are a few websites i have found useful

Had a weird dream about this girl, do I like her?

you might get a slip for $1000.-$1500. per month. insurance may not be available. weather can be very rough. electric very expensive. suggest you visit the area and look it over. i live in Miami and know about costs and problems with a boat.

Is "Avatar" another example of White guilt? Racism?
Is the movie "Avatar" another example of "white guilt"? Think of "Dances With Wolves" or "The Last Samurai", where instead of being the conqueror, the white hero becomes a member and then saviour of an indigenous people. Is "Avatar" the latest of these types of movies, and if it is does this mean it is racist? (I mean, is it so hard to think that a Native people could save themselves without the help of a white saviour?)

Or, is the movie simply a way to get humans who see the environment as something to dominate/conquer to think about our environmental practices - and the way to make them (or us, depending on who you are) care is by having a human "see the light" about the environment while being amongst an indigenous race that understands and does not think of the earth as something to be "subdued" or "conquered"?
By the way, I did see the movie and loved it. This theme of "white guilt" bothered me a bit (though I’m not white), but I loved the movie because of the world I was transported to.
I did enjoy the movie very much (Pandora was beautiful!), but as an academic I always question things and look at why a certain point of view is put forth in art. We may think that ideas just fall from the sky but they do not. Art is always a reflection of society or the individual person.

If you would like to read something to see the Indigenous Traditionalist (Native American Traditionalist) point of view on the "Noble Savage" theme and the effects of those who feel "White guilt" and wish to dissassociate themselves with their european conqueror heritage (and so they imagine they are the savior instead), please look into the book called "Fantasies of the Master Race: Literature, Cinema, and the Colonization of American Indians" by Ward Churchill. Also you can look at other books by this author and by an author named Vine Deloria Jr. I am not Native American but I’ve done a fair amount of research on the subject and I sympathize with the Traditionalist point of view.

Hey there!

So, my boyfriend is at work but he was on break and called me a few minutes ago and told me that his friend is trying to get him to take him to a bowling alley that’s nearly an hour away from here when he gets off work [which is around 12:00am].

My boyfriend said he isn’t sure if he is going to or not, and honestly I don’t want him to :T

I mean his friend says he is depressed because he broke up with his girlfriend and he wants her back [which doesn't make much sense] and he wants to go do something and get his mind off of it.

But knowing his friend, He’ll probably try to get my boyfriend to pick up a girl from there and take them riding around or something.

I mean I trust my boyfriend but still I’m just not comfortable with it.

Plus the fact that my friends wanted me to go with them to the same bowling alley last week and I didn’t go because my boyfriend wanted me to wait and go with him doesn’t help

He’s going to call me back inna few so how can I explain to him that I don’t want him to go and why?

just say im not sure i want you to go because im not confortable with you picking up girls. If he says anything about no, no, i won’t, just say im sure you will with your friend, and if he says no, no, give him a curfew , like when you want him to be back, but if the bowling alley is faar away and you want him back by 3, just say leave the alley at 2. hope it helps.

Ant Bully, The (2006) IMDB rating: 6.10 Plot: Lucas Nickle’s the new kid in town and the local bully, Steve, makes sure he knows it.
